Intensive Structured Literacy Intervention for Dyslexia & SLD

Our one-on-one, in-person structured literacy intervention provides intensive, individualized instruction for students with dyslexia or a Specific Learning Disability (SLD) in reading and written language. Instruction is delivered using the Wilson Reading System, a research-validated program grounded in Orton-Gillingham (OG) principles and the science of reading.

Students progress through Wilson’s systematic 12-step scope and sequence, which explicitly teaches how the English language works—from phonemic awareness and decoding to spelling (encoding), fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Lessons are multisensory, cumulative, and diagnostic, meaning instruction is continually adjusted based on student response and mastery.

This highly targeted approach is especially effective for students who:

  • Have not made adequate progress with classroom or small-group instruction

  • Require explicit, direct teaching to remediate reading and spelling gaps

  • Benefit from structured, sequential instruction that builds skills for long-term independence

Our interventionists focus not only on skill acquisition, but also on confidence rebuilding, helping students become more accurate, fluent, and strategic readers and writers. As students advance, instruction expands to include writing, spelling generalization, and assistive technology, equipping them with tools they can use successfully in upper grades and beyond.

Executive Function Coaching

When School Feels Harder Than It Should...

If your child is bright, capable, and trying their best—but school still feels like a daily struggle—you are not alone. For many students with ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning differences, the hardest part of school isn’t understanding the material. It’s managing everything that comes with it.

Missed assignments. Late nights. Tears over homework. The feeling that your child knows more than their work shows.

Executive Function Coaching supports the skills that often go unseen but make all the difference—planning, organization, starting tasks, managing time, and following through. When these skills are underdeveloped, children may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or discouraged, even when they are highly capable.

Through one-on-one coaching, we help students build systems that work for how their brain learns. Over time, students gain confidence, independence, and a sense of control over their learning. Parents often notice fewer battles at home, smoother routines, and a child who feels more capable and hopeful.

This isn’t about fixing your child. It’s about equipping them with tools they can carry into middle school, high school, college, and life—so their effort finally matches their potential.

R2R Ready to Rise Reading Accelerator

Ready to Rise is a 20-session structured literacy program designed to accelerate reading skills for students in 1st–3rd grade. Built on the Wilson Reading System, it strengthens foundational skills using a research-based approach proven to support struggling and at-risk readers and to help grade-level readers accelerate.

Ready to Rise is offered in multiple formats to meet a variety of family needs: as a 2-week summer camp, a 10-week after-school program in the fall or spring, or as individualized early-intervention instruction. Small-group instruction is available in camp and after-school formats, while one-to-one instruction provides a highly targeted option for students who benefit from more intensive support.

The program includes two levels, each consisting of 20 sessions. Levels may be taken back-to-back—during the school year, across summer sessions in June and July, or at any time through individualized instruction—allowing students to build skills efficiently and confidently.

WOW! Writing Our World Structured Writing Intervention

WOW! Writing Our World is a structured, language-based writing program designed to strengthen written expression for students with dyslexia and to extend thinking and writing skills for advanced learners. Grounded in the same research-based principles as the Wilson Reading System, WOW! provides explicit instruction in how language works—supporting students in organizing ideas, applying grammar intentionally, and translating complex thoughts into clear, effective writing.

For students with dyslexia or language-based learning differences, WOW! builds the essential foundations of writing, including sentence structure, spelling–writing connections (encoding), and paragraph development. Instruction is systematic, scaffolded, and multisensory, helping students gain confidence and independence in written expression.

For advanced learners, WOW! is also a powerful tool for expanding higher-level writing and thinking skills. Students learn to organize ideas logically, support claims with evidence, and refine language for clarity and precision—skills that directly support Socratic seminar preparation, analytical discussion, and academic writing across disciplines. Emphasis is placed on planning, outlining, and structuring written responses, enabling students to think critically, communicate thoughtfully, and write with purpose.

WOW! Writing Our World can be integrated alongside structured literacy instruction or offered as a stand-alone writing program, making it an ideal complement for students who are ready to deepen their written expression, reasoning, and communication skills.

“The Wilson Reading System works so well because it is a scaffolded system that teaches sound instruction based on the Orton-Gillingham approach. I have seen a 100% success rate with students who complete the entire 12-step program with year-round instruction. The initial non-readers have made the most dramatic gains in decoding, encoding, and fluency. Coupled with at-home workbook work, students marinate in step-by-step phonological instruction for applied mastery.”
